What Alauda does at the same steps
- What you compare. HELOCs, home equity loans, home equity investments and reverse mortgages, including whether to wait.
- What is applied for. Today it handles the paperwork and follow-up for HELOCs. Only a HELOC is applied for.
- Your phone number. We do not hand your number to a list of lenders.
- Who receives your application. Nothing goes to a bank until you say so. You see who receives it and what it contains before you approve. For a HELOC application today, that is the licensed partner that files your application, the lender, and a service the lender uses to verify your debts, only after you approve.
- Credit checks. A bank checks your credit only later, if you approve sending them your application: a soft check first, and a full credit report if you continue.
- Follow-up. We'll email you. You can withdraw an approval before it is sent; what a lender already received stays with them.
