Privacy Policy

• Your goal and plan: how much you want to borrow, what for, by when, and what matters to you.
• Financial information: your home's estimated value, what you owe on it, your income, other debts and monthly payments, and the credit range you tell us.
• Identity and contact details: your name, date of birth, phone number, email address and home address, entered in a secure form.
• Documents you send us, such as a pay stub or statement a lender asks for.
• Messages: what you write to Alauda in the chat or by email, and Alauda's replies.
• Approvals and consents: what you approved, for which recipient and when, the exact disclosure text you accepted, and the browser and network address you accepted it from.
• Property records: we look up your home's estimated value and public records from a property data provider, using your address.

• Understand your goal, check what is possible for your home, and compare your options, including waiting or not borrowing.
• Prepare a HELOC application and follow up on it, only after you approve.
• Email you about your case at the address you gave us.
• Keep a record of what you approved, so you and we can see what happened.
• Review the quality and safety of Alauda's answers, and operate, secure and fix the Service.

Alauda uses an AI model, run by a third-party model provider, to write its replies. The model sees your goal, your financial details and the conversation. It does not see your name, date of birth, phone number, email address or home address: those are replaced by placeholders before any request to the model, and only our code handles them. Calculations, rankings and approvals are done by our code, not by the model.

• A lender, only with your approval. When you approve sending a HELOC application, the licensed mortgage partner that files it, the lender that decides on it, and a service the lender uses to check your existing debts receive the application and the documents you approved. Before you approve, you see who receives it and what it contains. Nothing goes to them without that approval.
• Service providers that run Alauda for us: database and file storage, hosting, background jobs, email delivery, the AI model provider, and a property data provider.
• Our team: a small number of Alauda staff can read case details to run the Service and help you.
• Legal Requirements: disclosure required by law.
• Business Transfers: during mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales.

We do not hand your phone number to a list of lenders.

Alauda does not pull your credit report to compare your options; it asks you for an estimate of your credit range. Comparing options with Alauda does not affect your credit score.

If you approve sending a HELOC application, the lender's process includes credit checks. Before you approve, you see and accept the lender's credit disclosures. Today they describe a soft credit check first, which does not affect your score, and a full credit report, a hard inquiry that may affect your credit, if you continue with the application.

Case details, messages, approvals and documents are not deleted automatically today. You can request deletion as described on our Data Deletion page, subject to applicable legal requirements and exceptions.

If you withdraw, Alauda stops working on your case: no more messages and no more lender steps. Information a lender or its partner already received with your approval stays with them under their own privacy policies; ask them directly to delete it. Your approval receipt names who received what.

Alauda emails you about your case only at the address you give us: approval links, replies and requests for missing documents. Reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to stop those emails. Alauda does not send text messages to homeowners at this time.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage Data: pages visited, features used, and actions taken.
• Device Information: browser type, operating system, and IP address.
• Cookies and Similar Technologies: tracking technologies for browsing activity.

If you join the waitlist, we keep the email address and phone number you enter, to contact you about Alauda. We don't share them with banks or lenders.

Your information is stored with a hosting provider that encrypts our databases and file storage at rest. Access is limited to the systems that run the Service and a small number of Alauda staff. No method guarantees 100% security.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may:

• Access, correct, or delete personal information
• Object to or restrict processing
• Request data portability
• Withdraw consent
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information

Our Service is not directed to children under 13. Information from children under 13 will be deleted promptly.

We may update this policy as our services and data practices change. We will post revisions with a new "Last updated" date and provide notices, obtain consent and offer choices as required by applicable law. Updates do not by themselves authorize new uses of information collected under an earlier policy.
